Looking for a getaway after lockdown is lifted? With current situations, a staycation may be on the cards this year.

Many of us take advantage of the cracking coastlines and the scenic landscapes of the UK, but when the weather's right (on a lucky day), it's hard to beat the UK as a holiday destination - especially when it's on your doorstep.

We know we are all looking forward to the lifting of the travel restrictions after the coronavirus lockdown. Until then, please adhere to current government advice regarding travel, even within the UK. In the meantime, we are here to help ease your worry of maybe not getting abroad this year with some of our favourite UK staycation destinations:

Cornwall, England

Who needs the Mediterranean when you’ve got Cornwall only a few hours drive away? Cornwall is well known for its many stunning beaches, sense of heritage and culture as a ‘faraway land’ and the creative and vibrant parts to explore. The perfect weekend getaway especially if you’re keen to try out surfing or exotic fish restaurants, with the added extra of many great pubs.

Lake District, England

Isle of Wight, England

Last but not least, best known for walking holidays and annual music festivals, the Isle of Wight is a classic British holiday destination, but not one to miss.

The Isle of Wight is made up of stunning harbour towns and dramatic coastal cliffs, all located within a 57 mile coastline, home to some of Britain's best beaches - such as Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor. Come rain or shine, the beaches and seaside cliffs make for a class walk and should not be missed!
