B33 CUP: THE AFTERMATH

What a day. We need to start off by saying how buzzing we all are from The B33 Cup. As it was our first time hosting an event like this, nerves were high and the pressure was on. However, the sun came out, the atmosphere was electric and all the teams brought their a-game.

Our sponsors Singha Beer, Carabao Energy drinks and Mitre sports helped make the day memorable, providing free refreshments throughout the day to anyone and everyone who turned up. How many football tournament can say that?

With the drinks flowing the crowds were treated to some incredible footballing action, a live DJ set from our good friend DJ Big Al, free bubble football, free Dominos and free Tacos from the Yu-Ca-Taco truck

The crowds were given the chance to get their photos with the Legends team which included footballing heroes; Simon Donnelly, Charlie Miller and Marvin Andrews. Some even got to have a kick about with their heroes.

We were also joined by the lads from Open Goal on the day, who entertained the crowd with their commentary and in depth analysis throughout.

We could go on all day about how great the day was but instead we’ve got some real account that do the job for us;

I really mean it when I say it was the best run tournament we’ve played in from start to finish. Free drinks and food for the spectators, the music and the standard was all first rate.

We’ve been doing this for the best part of 15 years and the only tournament that came close was in Dubai… this will live long in the memory.”

Us boys had an unbelievably time and it’s honestly something we will never ever forget.

32 teams were whittled down to two finalists who took part in an intense final, full of dodgy decisions, drama and heartbreak for the runners up. The winning team TMT were awarded with the £7,000 ultimate prize along with their trophies and football shirts.

We also donated £3,000 to their choice charity; Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which is an absolutely incredible cause. If you’d like to find out more about the great work that they do we’ve left a link to donate to the charity here > https://www.glasgowchildrenshospitalcharity.org/donate

A fantastic day led to a fantastic night out. We hosted our after-party in Revolution Mitchell St where everyone from the day was invited to the exclusive VIP night out. The free bar ran until one in the morning (we're surprised it lasted that long) and we were entertained with mind-blowing magicians and dancing astronauts.

Again we’d like to thank our Partners for the event; Singha Beer, Carabao Energy Drinks and Mitre Sports.

Until next time!

Your Bee Team
